How ENODEUS collects, uses, and protects your data

This Privacy Policy should be reviewed by a qualified data-protection lawyer before production use, particularly because ENODEUS may process industrial inspection data subject to confidentiality obligations.

1. Who we are

ENODEUS ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-assisted Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) application operated by an individual sole proprietor registered in Switzerland. We provide tools that assist certified inspectors in analyzing liquid-penetrant (PT) inspections and generating inspection reports.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Account and profile data

Name, email address, and password (via Google Firebase Authentication).
Optional profile info: company, job title, phone, location, certifications, LinkedIn, website, profile photo.

2.2 Inspection data

Images you upload for analysis (e.g. UV-A photographs).
Inspection parameters: standard, material, penetrant type, dwell time, developer, temperature, observations.
AI-generated results: indications detected, affected area, processed images.
Digital signatures embedded in reports.

2.3 Usage data

Number of inspections, for your statistics and the optional ranking.
Basic technical/access logs needed to operate and secure the service.

3. How we use your data

To provide the core service: analyzing images and generating reports.
To create your dashboard, statistics, and (if shown) the global ranking.
To send inspection reports to recipients you specify.
To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the application.
To communicate about your account, the service, or the Beta Tester Program.

4. AI model training (opt-in only)

We will only use your inspection images to train our AI models if you have given explicit, separate consent through the opt-in setting in your profile. This is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time. When you opt in, identifying job information is removed wherever feasible. If you do not opt in, your images are used solely to generate your own reports.

If your inspection images are subject to confidentiality agreements (NDAs), do not opt in to AI training without your client's authorization.

5. Legal basis

We process data under the Swiss nFADP and, where applicable, the EU GDPR. Our legal bases are contract (to provide the service), consent (for optional features), and legitimate interest (to secure and improve the service).

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with Google Firebase (auth and database), email delivery providers, cloud hosting providers, and recipients you choose when sending a report.

7. Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us. Images contributed to AI training (if opted in) may be retained in anonymized form.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your data, and request portability. Contact maximilianolmos89@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

9. Data security

We use HTTPS, secure authentication, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed on servers outside Switzerland or the EU (e.g. the United States). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards.

11. Children

The service is intended for professional inspectors and is not directed at individuals under 18.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
